Platinum is in constant competition with gold for the most noble and most precious metal. But it hasn't always been that way: When it was first discovered in South America, it was thought to be low-grade silver. Therefore the name, which means "tiny silver" in Spanish.

If Auro (gold) is the king, what could Platinius be – the pope? However, there is a permanent rivalry between the two of them about who might be the mightiest of them all.

Plutonium

Plutonium is extremely poisonous and highly radioactive. It’s main use is for nuclear enerergy and in atomic bombs. His name patron, dwarf planet Pluto named after the Greek god of the underworld, was chosen wisely.

Pluto is an evil fella. Together with his partner in crime Urano, he plots to take over the world.

Uranium

Uranium is a dangerous metal. Before it was known for it’s radioactivity, people used it to die glass green. It is mostly used for atomic energy and atomic bombs. His name patron Uranus is named after the god of the sky and the father of all gods in Greek mythology.

Urano the monster wants to be the ruler over all the Elemonsters world. He believes that he’s entitled to it, for his name to begin with. He tries to reach this goal by any means. Be it by creating new monsters with nuclear fusion to form a clone army.

Gold

Gold is the undebated king of the elements. No other has such a high significance – it’s proverbial. If all the gold in the world was melted into a cube, it would be just 20 meters long.

Auro is the king of the Elemonsters world. He is dignified, majestic and very conceited.

Silver

Silver

Silver has always played the second fiddle after gold. On the other hand we encounter it much more often in our every-day-life: In mirrors, in cutlery, in jewelry, as coating in band aids... It is even useful for making water drinkable.

Argenta is the queen at Auros side. But she is much more practical than her husband. She even has a poetic side: the moon is her sister in spirit.

Rubidium

Just like all alkali metals rubidium reacts vigorously with water. It turns flames into deep red – popular with fireworks. Besides that it’s mostly used for scientific purposes.

Ruby the monster is a real chatterbox. If you meet her, she rambles on with no mercy. She loves everything that’s red: Poppy flowers, lipstick, sunsets and of course red fire works.

Vanadium

Vanadium is found in high concentrations in some creatures like Tunicates and the mushroom Amanita muscaria (fly agaric). Its predominantely used in steel production to increase strength.

Vanadia the monster is a bit vain...

Chrome

Chromus

Most popular in its use as chrome plating for increasing the corrosion resistance of steel, causing shiny surfaces. It is also found in many pigments, in magnetic tape and many gems like ruby or emerald.

Chromus the monster loves everything that shines and glitters in rainbow colours. It is quite a show-off.

Titanium

Strong and stable but light Metal. It is used for making tools or airplanes but also for body implants. Titan Oxide (TiO2) is a popular pigment for white paint.

 

Titanus is a big and strong monster, which is very light and flexible at the same time. It is a very skilled mechanic, who can do heavy work as well as very delicate jobs.

Scandium

Scandium

Scandium was one of the first elements, which Mendeleev predicted to exist, before it was discovered. It is being used for alloys and in stadium lights.

Scanda the monster looks like a troll, but despite his appearance it is very skilled with all technical stuff.
